This newly renovated, spacious, yet cozy, basement room is in a quiet house on peaceful street in a beautiful, tree filled neighborhood. My home is safe, generally quiet and fairly predictable. I have three cats and a dog, with the occasional small dog visitor. If you’re looking for some animal company while you’re away from home, this place could be purr-fect for you! We are in close proximity a variety of area hospitals - Abington, Jeans, Chestnut Hill & Einstein. The space This room, in my home, is simple, spacious, private and comfortable. The kitchenette and bathroom access partially share the laundry space in the basement. It is not a fully self contained unit. In good weather there is a lovely yard and outdoor space to enjoy. The area tends to be cool. This is great in the warmer weather, but please note that in the cooler seasons it can be - well, cool. Sometimes the heat of the house isn't adequate to keep the temperature above 63 degrees. There are space heaters for the bathroom and main living area, if needed. For some people this is a plus, they don't mind it. But if you know your body runs cold, please keep this in mind when considering this space during longer stays or during the winter months. My house is a sanctuary and retreat for me. I live quietly and often work from home. The house is small and noise can travel easily. I am seeking an animal loving, quiet, tidy, friendly person with whom to share some of my space. My cats like people and are generally friendly. On more than one occasion one of my felines has adopted a guest staying here. So, seriously, if you don't like animals or cats, this isn't the place for you. When considering booking please keep in mind that my home is neither a hotel, nor a vacation getaway. Please treat the room and your time here with the care and respect you would like someone to treat you and your home. Guest access The space includes a private room, with a separate bathroom and kitchenette area. Entrance is through the main doors of the house and down a flight of stairs. I come the downstairs regularly to access storage and to do laundry. There is access to public transportation, both trains and buses, within a 15 minute walk. Free parking is available on the street. Other things to note Covid has made the navigation of life a little more challenging, but I do like having people in my home with me. I have been doing everything I can to mitigate the risk of the virus for myself and others in my life. We will be most comfortable if you feel similarly.
