Four different mountain ranges surround our 1600 sq ft home, with nature walks right from the door, yet minutes from shops, and 20 min from downtown. Eldorado is a unique and beautiful country suburb of Santa Fe, where everyone has at least an acre. The space This home has Santa Fe style charm, air conditioning, and central heating. Two Bedrooms: Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds. One of the queen-sized mattresses is memory foam, and the other has a new firm mattress. There is also a mini mattress available for a toddler, and a single sofa bed if you need another bed. The bedrooms each have private entrances. Hiking and biking: There are greenbelt walks for miles through this neighborhood, and bike paths that stretch from downtown Santa Fe to Lamy. The neighborhood has playgrounds and beautiful views. Beware of Cats: The house comes with two sweet cats in residence, so it would be ideal if you are cat people and definitely not allergic. They cannot go outside due to coyotes, owls, and bobcats (!), so we ask that you are careful not to let them out. My cat-carer friend will visit them twice a day to feed them and clean their litter boxes. The cat-carer has their own entrance and will briefly use the kitchen during visits in order to access cat food. One cat is very social and will love your company; the other will likely be hiding! Bathrooms each have bath, shower, toilet, and sink. Sheets, towels, soap, shampoo & conditioner provided. The Kitchen has a gas stove and full oven, a dishwasher, a countertop toaster oven, electric kettle, fridge/freezer, french press coffee-maker, drip coffee maker, Cuisinart food processor, and popcorn-popper. Most of the house has open-beam ceilings called vigas, and all rooms except bathrooms have bookshelves, so you can curl up with a good book whenever you want. Other things to note Please note that this is a lived-in family home with lots of flaws and idiosyncrasies. The house is best for people who are happy in a casual atmosphere. You may find that a child has drawn on the wall. The cat-carer will come twice a day to tend to the four-legged residents, who have a room on the other side of the house. Remember that cats shed, jump on counters, and tear through the house for no reason. It will be very clean (cleaned professionally as well), but not to museum quality, because real people live here and have lots of belongings. The house is cheerful, and sunny, with light that goes from one side of the house to the other. Professional cleaning can be arranged DURING your stay as well. This neighborhood is about a 20 minute drive from the middle of the city of Santa Fe. A car is strongly recommended because buses are infrequent and far from the house.
