Charming king room at The Tillerman
We invite you to spend a little time enjoying the simple things in life. The Tillerman is restored and re-imagined from its 1785 bones. We embrace the quirks, character and eccentricities of this old beautiful building and we hope you do, too. Think fire places, wood burning oven, linen duvets, hardwood floors with vintage rugs, organic mattresses, french press coffee and the sound of the creek. The Tillerman is the ultimate cozy getaway. We have a feeling you will love it here! The space THE ROOM This room is called Ramona. Located on the second floor, Ramona has a king bed, a dresser and closet and a comfy chair. The ensuite bathroom has a clawfoot tub, the sink is located in the room itself. AMENITIES Our mattresses are from Saatva (they are handcrafted from organic cotton and are incredibly comfortable!), organic sheets and towels from Brooklinen and bath products from Ursa Major. We have delicious local coffee and tea available for guests in our parlor. Each room has its own mini fridge, a hair dryer and clothing steamer. SHARED SPACES The Parlor is the room with a one-of-a-kind 16-foot-long farm table, and seating area by the fireplace where guests can hang out, read a book, play a board game, ... THE RESTAURANT We have a restaurant downstairs that is open Wednesday-Saturday, we'd love to have you for dinner! We recommend making a reservation beforehand. Reservations can be made online or over the phone. THE GROUNDS in the summer the gardens are abundant and the swimming hole at the creek is oh so refreshing! in autumn the property teems with apple trees and sugar maples. as the days get colder, our spot turns into a magical winter wonderland. During your stay We (Kate & Jason and our staff) are here to help you out with anything you need. Our house is on the property, just a stones throw away from the inn and you can always find us working in or around the inn. Wednesdays through Saturdays, our restaurant is open from 4:30 - 8pm. You're welcome to have a glass of wine by the fire or to taste our delicious food! All ingredients are seasonal and local. Other things to note We are located on North Route 116 in Bristol (*not Starksboro*). The Tillerman is easily accessible and we have a big parking lot on the property.
