Historic Cashtown Inn General Lee Suite
Stand on the front porch of the Cashtown Inn, let your eyes roam among the gentle grade of Old Chambersburg Pike. It rises past apple orchards and open fields towards the wooded slope of Cashtown Gap in South Mountain. If these hills could talk of the stories of bygone days, we would hear of weary travelers looking for a meal, lodging for the night. Or of brave soldiers passing on their way to battle to the sound of marching bands. Cashtown Inn was built circa 1797, 8 miles West of Gettysburg. The space The Historic Cashtown Inn hosts 7 rooms each with their own unique, antique furnishings. We’ve recently uncovered the original hardwood floors in both the parlor and tavern, we can’t help but wonder of all who walked across the planks. During your stay we invite you to enjoy sitting by the fireplace in the parlor. Or enjoying the views on our front porch. We try to offer our guest a little history of the Inn and a tour of the cellar which has a natural spring flowing through it. Whether your visiting Gettysburg, Ski Liberty or just here for the history, we are certain you’ll enjoy your stay. Guest access The Inn has a large parking lot and is just minutes to Gettysburg & Chambersburg. The Inn sits just off Route 30 and is a short drive to 81 or 15
